Brouwhoeve Crianza: A harmonious interplay from Villena

This Crianza forms the heart of the Serrata line and is a beautiful example of modern winemaking at Bodegas Francisco Gómez. The grapes grow at an altitude of around 700 metres, where the large temperature differences between day and night allow slow, perfect ripening. By marrying Monastrell with Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine emerges that has both the juiciness of red fruit and the necessary ageing potential.

At Brouwhoeve, we selected this bottle for its honest value for money and the silky-smooth texture obtained through time in the cellar. The wine rests in the bottle for quite some time before it reaches the market, resulting in a liquid masterpiece in which the oak supports the fruit without overpowering it. This is an elegant glass that combines the sun strength of Alicante with a refined, almost classic structure.

Flavour & character

Aroma A lush bouquet in which ripe black fruit, such as blackberries and plums, melds with the spicy influences of oak ageing. You recognise clear hints of vanilla, cedarwood and a touch of black pepper, inviting the nose in a refined way.

Taste The first impression is full-bodied and powerful. On the palate, you experience rich layering in which the ripe tannins provide a firm but smooth structure. The flavours of forest fruits and cocoa are in excellent balance with the light toast notes of the oak.

Finish A persistent and warm finish. The wine leaves an impression of concentrated fruit and subtle spiciness, with a balanced finish providing long-lasting enjoyment.


Serving tips & pairings

  • Temperature: Serve this red wine preferably between 16°C and 18°C to allow the aromatic profile to open fully.

  • Glassware: Use a generous Bordeaux glass so the wine can breathe and the complex aromas can fully come into their own.
